I was hoping you guys could do me a favor to lighten the burden. If there is anything you want me to look at for sure, could you link me? It would help me a lot. Some of you I haven't looked at some of your work in awhile, I'm sorry. I'm hoping this way that I can keep track again, at least for awhile.

I also want to say thank you to the favorites and comments you've given me. I have a lot of favorites notifications as well, so I thought I'd save some time and thank you here.

When I wrote my poem "Affection" [link] , I hadn't written anything in about a week. It was the day after I had one of the happiest days I had in awhile. I bonded with friends and saw so much laughter and smiling. I was euphoric.

When I wrote that I truly desired, I truly wished I could see that happen for everyone. To be quite honest, I really didn't (and still don't) think it was one of my best poems. In fact, when I was going to post it I thought 'I wonder if I'll put this in scraps later...' and 'I'm in such a writing slump...'

I am most fond of powerful metaphor and complex imagery and don't find myself very satisfied with my own poetry that often. I am still not satisfied with this poem and yet, I signed in to check up on Deviant Art the very next day to find that I had received 25 favorites overnight. I thought... "How did this happen?"...okay okay... more like "HOLY SHIT ON A STICK". I was stunned. I was overwhelmed.

I had tons of favorites from users who didn't really watch me along with a handful of comments. I looked and saw one comment there. =th3krimzon1 (My DA big brother!). Featured it for me. AND Suggested it to be a Daily Deviation. Oh my god, thank you. I really don't think it will be a Daily Deviation. I really don't think it's that good, but I am so honored that you liked it THAT much.

Now it is at 37 favorites. It's now THE most popular poem in my gallery. I am truly touched and surprised that such a simple poem has touched so many. I am pleased that it has spread like the love, the affection that I hoped for when I wrote the poem.

Here I write a poem about spreading affection and what does it do? It TOUCHES people. It made people feel touched and loved. My HOPE of LOVE that I WROTE about in that VERY poem touched a handful of people...

And and... I should stop writing now before I become so sappy that you guys get a sugar high.

Yeah. I'm not really angry. I mean, I maybe thought I was a bit, but I mean, people are busy. I'm disappointed . Admittedly, though it takes something else off my mind. To be fair, though...it felt like it was off my mind long ago.

The whole project lost enthusiasm, which I don't blame anyone, considering they could be spending their time making artwork for contests... and win something.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't want to continue making challenges for something that's barely happening or not going to happen. I'd rather just go on to posting articles featuring favorite works of art.

R.I.P. Cartheinsane's Connection. I'm surprised you lasted this long. #16 was incomplete. Maybe if people want to do the most recent one and enough people still do it I'll post a feature, but I WILL NOT do any more challenge posts. I'm tired of doing it anyway.
